Shapeshifter

Title: Shapeshifter | Medium: Screenprinting on paper

Artist Statement: "These prints explore the ritual of body checking. I used found photos of my own body from a variety of angles. By repeating the same body from different angles over itself, I hope to visualize the feeling of alienation from one's own body. They reflect the hyper-fixation I have with my own body, and the way my body image seems to change drastically from day to day. These pieces are made with found photos printed in half-tone dots and fluorescent ink, to further animate the body and make the figures harder to decipher."
