  • Hello! My name is Tariana, but everyone calls me Terri. My hobbies include drawing, lifting weights, reading, and writing. I'm an artist at heart, so any sphere of artistic expression is fulfilling, but writing gives me this very cathartic feeling, like I'm being heard. My first article "I Am Not Special" garnered a ton of support from people I know, but my ultimate goal is to give people an insight as to what neurodiversity is, discuss my life experiences as a person on the autism spectrum, as well as discussing stereotypes perpetuated about the community. I'm passionate about this because I've been there. I was bullied and targeted for years because I have autism, and now that I'm in high school, I hear the constant belittlement, ignorance, and intolerance for people with ASD; it disgusts me everyday and drives me to create change. I want my platform to be a beacon of awareness and kindness for those part of the neurodivergent community, as well as for those curious about it. Words can't describe how excited I am to be a part of something so close to heart for me, and I can't wait to get started!
